How we keep GetOvr safe
Adults only
Everyone confirms they are 18 or over. Matching is only possible between adults.
Mutual consent
Private messages are only possible after both people agree to connect.
Block and report
Available on every profile, request and message. Always free.
No repeated contact
If someone declines or blocks you, you can't contact them again.
Limits on activity
Limits on how many requests and messages can be sent help stop spam and pressure.
Human review
Reports — and some messages that our filters flag — are reviewed by a person. Urgent safety reports are prioritised.
What we don't do
We don't monitor every conversation in real time, and automated filters can miss things or get things wrong — which is why flagged messages are always checked by a person. If you're worried about someone's safety, report it and, if anyone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
